For Spring/Summer 2012, there are two big trends for girls clothing. One inspired by fairy tales and TV shows: a fantasy world of color and playfulness. The other inspired by memories and nostalgia. Practical vintage objects and family possessions will mold the color palette and prints for 2012. Cookware, sustainable toys and decorations such as pastel baking bowls, wooden cars, light fixtures from the ’70s will be key when creating new trends.
For boys clothing inspiration comes from urban living and minimalism, tough fabrics and neutral colors play a large role. Simple shapes and clean lines from retro objects inspire colors such as browns, greens and oranges.
